An installation of bespoke colour Aluco Steel-Look doors and internal windows, to a Cambridgeshire home, that meet our customer brief of doors and windows that would transform their living spaces, flooding them with light, enhancing every day comfort and adding beauty and vibrancy.

After discovering The Burgess Group on Instagram and visiting our Ipswich Showroom, Louisa knew we were the right choice to help bring her vision to life.
I chose The Burgess Group because of its emphasis on high quality products and installation. We’re doing a lot of work on a budget, which requires compromise, but doors were something I wanted the best from. They’re a major feature and have such a big impact on the overall feel of the home.
Aluco Steel Look French Doors
In keeping with our Client brief of doors to make an impact and deliver the right look and feel, we provided two sets of Aluco French doors. In the dining room is a standard French door set, with the primary leaf on the right hand side, viewed from inside and featuring the iconic floating lock with period handle.
Providing the true steel look style are 20mm glazing bars, which are virtually the identical size to those found on genuine steel doors.
For the lean-to conservatory, a set of steel-look French doors with side panels fills the structural opening beneath the glazed roof and provides beautiful views out to the patio area and garden.
For both door sets, being garden and back doors, not only are these required to perform in all weather but also remain safe and secure. Multipoint locks, high security cylinders toughened safety glass provide peace of mind security. Great design with extensive weather sealing and a fully rebated frame and threshold, keep out the worst of the winter weather.
Bespoke Colour Doors and Windows
With steel look windows and doors frequently provided in black, white or grey, to choose such a gorgeous yet striking Greeh colour really sets off this installation of steel look doors in Cambridge. At the same time it blends in perfectly with the existing windows and doors and brickwork used.
Internal Steel-look Window
Between the dining area and the conservatory is a colour matched steel look window.
We love the striking shade of green Louisa again chose. Together we created a wall of glass in the living room with French doors and side lights. They enhance the green of the garden beyond and reflect the light spectacularly.
This again is separated by 20mm glazing bars and complements the stone lintel, brick and homeonwer art beautifully.
The Aluco (French) doors have completely transformed the feel of the living room and kitchen and made them so much more vibrant and bright. Everyone who visits comments on how good they look – they really are a standout feature.
Bespoke uPVC luxury front door
The same colour was selected for the front door, this time in our Evolution PVCu, with fixed glazing beside to complete a beautiful porch and focal point to the front of the house.
This door set sits alongside a similarly designed flush casememnt window with matching slimline bars and colour matched timber-look cill.
Evolution Doors are unlike any other uPVC door on the market, designed to replicate timber doors. Just like Aluco, they replicate the period look and feel with correctly proportioned midrails, glazing bars, hardware and overall design.
Louisa’s advice to others considering renovations or new builds:
The Evolution front door and porch windows have made the front of the house look so much more inviting and welcoming, while also giving us added peace of mind with improved security. It’s a joy to walk through the house now and see how beautifully everything’s come together.
Be brave with your choices, especially with colour! It can completely change the feel of your home and give it so much more personality.
