Charming timber sash windows showcased in this pretty cottage
Julie bought her pretty property with a view to making some improvements, but hadn’t planned to replace all of the windows. The existing windows were painted shut and rotten, Julie considered having them repaired as she didn’t want to lose the originals, But the level of repair just wasn’t feasible.
Julie found four companies and educated herself on features she hadn’t even considered as she went from company to company, ruling them in or out as the benefits started to become more clear. In the end, The Burgess Group was the last one standing. Being local and having a showroom was a huge tick for Julie, enabling her to touch and feel the products in person.

Julie did consider a timber alternative once she realised how many windows she’d be replacing, but after experiencing the features of our timber windows, how robust they are and realising the value they’d add to her property, timber was the right choice for her.
Julie then took on the task of crafting her own beautiful curtains to frame the windows, even considering the placement of the curtain pole to make sure as much window as possible could be seen. A stunning pairing.

Julie said of the whole experience; “The in house service has been so positive, the control over the standards so reassuring, and Mick and Kevin (the fitters) were so nice, respectful and tidy.”
