Our Bygone sash windows give you the character of a traditional timber sash with none of the maintenance. Butt jointed corners, deep timber-look cills, slim glazing bars and run through sash horns replicate the original so closely that visitors to our showrooms often refuse to believe they are PVCu, finished in a high quality acrylic foil that never needs painting.

Authentic, elegant, efficient and secure, our Bygone Collection timber alternative sash windows have to be experienced to fully appreciate their exceptional quality. Butt jointed corners, deep timber-look cills and slim glazing bars closely replicate traditional timber designs, so much so that visitors to our showrooms often find it hard to believe they are PVCu. Attention to detail with run through sash horns, and beautiful beehive or acorn finial designs are assured, whether you opt for the Melody, Harmony or Symphony ranges. Smooth operation is at the heart of the design, with the addition of an easy clean feature which allows both sashes to be easily tilted into the room. This can be very beneficial for windows on upper floors that are hard to get to from the ground.
Though traditional white remains popular with sash windows, you can choose from a beautiful range of acrylic foil standard finishes, or we can colour match any of 200 classic RAL colours. You can even have a different colour on the inside to the outside.
Beautiful, and genuinely maintenance free
This is the real appeal of a quality PVCu sash. There is no painting, no sanding and no sealing, ever. An acrylic foil finish holds its colour and simply wipes clean, and the tilt in sashes let you clean the outside of the glass from inside the room, with no ladders, which matters on an upper floor or a bay. Cleaning your Bygone sash windows is easier than you think
All Bygone sash windows feature an integrated tilt-in mechanism that allows you to safely and easily clean the outside of your glass, from the inside your home.
Operating it is easy too – just release the two tilt pins at the top of each sash to disengage it from the frame. No ladders needed!
