Thank you for purchasing our high-quality products. Provided they’re looked after well and in line with our care and maintenance instructions, they’ll continue to be as beautiful, secure and energy efficient for many years to come.
Activating your guarantee
The guarantee for your product starts from the date the installation is completed, and is automatically activated as soon as your final payment is received.

Your cover
Our Guarantee covers the following defects in the manufacture and installation of our products:

| Double glazing units | 10 years |
| Product workmanship | 10 years |
| Hardware | 10 years |
| Paint finish | 12 years |
| Stain finish | 6 years |
| Installation workmanship | 10 years |

Exclusions
The following eventualities are excluded from your cover:
- Glass Breakage
- Failure of any component due to neglect, misuse, or lack of maintenance in accordance with our care and maintenance instructions
- Failure of any component due to use in excess of their design life/specification
- Discolouration of brass hardware
- Screws
- Minor adjustments in accordance with our Care and Maintenance Instructions
- Damage due to continued use of incorrectly adjusted and / or broken items
- Consequential or indirect loss, damage or expense as a result of or in connection with our undertaking of the installation as detailed in the contract
Conditions
Any defect in the works which may be subject to the provisions of the Guarantee need to be notified to The Burgess Group immediately in writing, specifying the nature and extent of any such defect, with supporting photographs and in any event no later than 7 days from when the defect was first noticed.
The Burgess Group shall be afforded access to Site to ascertain whether the Works are defective as claimed. If in ‘The Burgess Group’s’ reasonable opinion, the defect is not caused by either faulty workmanship or goods, then the client shall reimburse The Burgess Group for the costs in undertaking the Site visit and any other reasonable costs incurred.
The cover, exclusions, terms and conditions of the guarantee detailed above reflect the latest revision from Timber Windows. From time to time changes may be made, and we will ensure the current version is updated here at all times. It may be that your installation took place prior to the latest revision. Please refer to the documents we sent you with your contract, or feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to send you the guarantee information relevant to your installation.
