New wooden sash windows & casement windows for restored Manningtree cottage
This beautiful cottage in Wrabness, near Manningtree, had white PVCu casement windows to the rear, and dark stained sash windows to the front when the new owner, Mr Offord moved in. He knew when he set out to restore it that he wanted something more in keeping with the original property.
“My wife and I had looked around a bit and searched online, but when we went to (The Burgess Group) Woodbridge and saw the product, it made up our minds pretty quickly.”
They opted for our elegant yet secure wooden sash windows to the front and wooden casement windows to the back, both in French Grey and with the additional of authentic Georgian bars.
“We’re really pleased with the windows. Our old sashes were draughty and leaking and they’d stick, which can be maddening. The new ones are superb and look great.“

“We ended up doing half the house and the other half later. Over the whole installation there was only one small issue which was sorted out straight away, no fuss.
Both the installation teams that came were great, they worked well, with minimal mess and took care of our old brickwork. I’d thoroughly recommend Burgess Group to anyone.”
